Ven. Sayadaw U Ottamasara


Born in 1969 in Kathar Town, Sagaing Division, Upper Myanmar.

Obtained B.A (English) Honours from Yangon Art and Scinece University in 1994.

Start his own business at the age of 16.

Became Professional Business man at the age of 23.

Started Vipassana Meditation at the age of 29.

Established "From AVijjā to Vijjā Dhamma Donation Organization" at 1 June 2000.

Sayadaw donate all his personal possession to "From AVijjā to Vijjā Dhamma Donation Organization" at 28 February 2001.

Sayadaw ordained monk hood at 21 October 2002.

Now, Sayadaw plans to start "From AVijjā to Vijjā Dhamma Meditation Center Project "on 6 October 2006 at 42 Quarter, North Dagon Myothit, Yangon, Myanmar.
